Deep rifts are widening between Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and Jeish al-Izzeh terrorists as the Syrian Army made rapid advances in Northern Hama as well as Southern and Southeastern Idlib, the Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted local sources in Idlib province as saying on Tuesday.
Local sources noted that the two terrorist groups have accused each other of betrayal in a meeting held between the senior commanders of Tahrir al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzeh at Tahrir al-Sham's military base in Idlib city.
They said that the Turkistan Party terrorist group has reinforced its military bases in some towns of Jisr al-Shoghour in Western Idlib and blocked passage of other terrorist groups to these regions.
Meantime, commanders of Turkistani terrorist group have ordered their militants to increase their military checkpoints near the areas under their control from Southwestern Idlib to Northeastern Lattakia close to the border with Turkey.
In the meantime, local sources reported that a large number of local commanders of Tahrir al-Sham and Jeish al-Izzeh terrorist groups have defected and fled along with their families to Turkey from Idlib and Northern Hama in recent days.
In a relevant development on Monday, the Syrian Army dispatched massive military equipment to Southern Idlib as Tahrir al-Sham experienced a heavy defeat in failed attempt to regain control of the regions they have already lost to the Syrian Army.
The battlefield sources in Northern Syria said that Tahrir al-Sham terrorists conducted a fierce attack on the Syrian Army's military positions in the town of Sakik to East of Khan Sheikhoun in Southern Idlib.
The sources pointed to heavy losses inflicted by the Syrian Army on the terrorists during clashes with them, and said that the Syrian Army destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists which was moving towards the Syrian Army's military positions in the town of al-Tamaneh and their bomber drone in the town of al-Jisat in Southern Idlib.
They said that the Syrian Army has dispatched massive military equipment comprising tens of vehicles and military equipment as well as reinforcements to Sakik to fortify its positions after warding off the terrorists' attacks.
